Brads

Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!  Here are some brads I made for Hummie's designer class.  I hope they pass the "jaggies" test!  Feel free to use them on your layouts.  Click here for the link.http://www.mediafire.com/?yukmxymnwfl

I am busy cooking and cleaning as all my kids and grandkids will be here for the Thanksgiving weekend.  I haven't seen my grandsons since the end of August.  I have plenty of hugs and kisses saved up for them!  Luckily, my granddaughter lives nearby, so I can get my "Grammie fix" pretty often from her.  I did take a break from all the work to scrap a page of my precious Phoebe Bea and would like to share that here.  The background papers and ribbon are from Fairy Fantasies fromBouquet of Pixels and the template is one of Hummie's at Hummie's World.

wordle cover page

I had to use my PC to make and save this wordle and then I emailed to myself on my MAC.  From there I was able to edit it and make it into a layout.  I will use this for the cover of the flip calendar that I am making for the family.   Thank you Hummie for teaching me about Wordle and thank you, Wordle.net, for being available and free!

Wordle.net

Thank you, Hummie, for introducing me to Wordle in lesson 43.!  Unfortunately, I could not print or save it as a pdf to use on a layout (It does not work on a MAC, even when following their directions to circumvent the problem.)  So I posted it here on my blog instead----hope you get a chance to see it.  This was fun to do.  Maybe the Mac people can help me with it.

Wall Calendar

I just finished my family wall calendar. Each month is 8.5x11 and is made to be hung in a frame. (I will attach each page to an 11x14 sheet of poster board so it can be displayed in a larger frame.) I used pictures from previous years but in the same month for each month. The only exception is December, as I don't have pictures of our Phoebe Bea, but I won't be able to wait since I'm giving these out at Thanksgiving. Here is a preview of my calendar.

TOU and Internet Shortcut

Success at last! Thanks to my fellow digiscrapper and MAC user, Ann (Star Song Studio), I was able to complete this lesson--at least I hope I did! If anyone has trouble with my link, please let me know. Now on to lunch and then scrapping.

New Layouts at Last!

Well, I should be sleeping as I have to wake up at 4:00 a.m. to leave for the airport.  However, I got the itch to do some scrapping, and that itch was hard to scratch!  Here are my layouts for the Halloween photos of my grandkids.  (Credits to Meetje Designs, Halloween; kk punkinpatch; and Hummie's templates 21 and 23.)  Enjoy!

Happy November!

WOW!  It's November already!  This year is just flying by!  Today is my last day in beautiful Murrieta, CA until my next visit in December.  I hate to leave this awesome weather and head back east....oh, well....hubby and dog are waiting for me there.  I must say I haven't been scrapping much while here because I'm always outside, so I should catch up on all of Hummie's lessons once I'm home.  I am still learning about and working on this blog, so come back often to see the changes.
